We are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role in Reno, NV. Job Details:
- Schedule: Flexible availability, Monday to Saturday (hours based on staffing needs)
- Pharmacy Technician Support: Strong support team available to assist with daily operations, allowing you to focus on leadership and management responsibilities
- Expected Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire if the match is a good fit
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure compliance with all regulations and standards
- Act as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), including applying for the PIC license within the first week of the contract start date
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the pharmacy team
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Experience & Requirements:
- Retail pharmacy experience: At least 2 years of experience in retail pharmacy
- Leadership experience: Previous experience as a lead pharmacist, supervisor, or manager is highly preferred
- Must be willing to apply for the PIC license within the first week of the contract
- Experience with ERx is preferred (training will be provided on-site)
