Full-Time SPED Teacher Opening Near Charlotte, NC
Soliant is working with a school district near Charlotte, NC, to find a full-time Special Education Teacher for a resource classroom. This position offers 37.5 hours per week and will involve providing direct instruction and managing IEPs for elementary school students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to elementary students in a resource classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary
- Maintain accurate records for IEP goals, accommodations, and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance and goals
- Support classroom management and promote a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification for the state of North Carolina
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource classroom setting
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education laws
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff
