Position Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to gain hands-on experience and hone their skills in evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a new graduate to receive guidance and support while building expertise in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to client needs and goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure well-rounded care.
- Keep accurate and timely records of client progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in supervision and clinical meetings to review cases and receive constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with evidence-based practices and engage in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Clinical Fellow (CF) status or eligibility.
- ASHA certification or in the process of obtaining.
- Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or externship experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with a diverse client population.
