Job Title: Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Onsite
Location: Amherst, NY
Schedule: 3 days per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Amherst, NY. This part-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, providing speech and language therapy services in a supportive school setting. We welcome both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with a variety of communication disorders.
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs for students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students, targeting speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other specialists to ensure students' progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, therapy plans, and treatment goals.
- Provide consultation and training for teachers and staff on speech and language strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active New York State SLP license (or in the process of obtaining).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology OR currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, parents, and staff.
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and supporting their communication development.
