Twin Resources is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for one of our customers.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role as a proactive "hunter" focused on identifying and cultivating new customers and markets for the company. This role also supports existing clients by fostering relationships and addressing service or part issues when necessary. Additionally, the manager will prepare customer quotes and contribute to sales forecasting efforts throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development:
- Identify and establish relationships with new customers and industries.
- Generate sales leads and create new opportunities with current select customers.
- Coordinate and host customer visits to company facilities.
- Sales Quoting & Revenue Goals:
- Generate approximately $40 million in annual quote opportunities with a target close rate of $4 million in booked sales or a minimum of 10% of quotes.
- Prepare and review part estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontracting costs.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments, including production, quality, and engineering.
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits to maintain relationships and address inquiries.
- Customer Support:
- Maintain comprehensive customer records and account information.
- Address and resolve customer issues, identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Forecasting & Strategy:
- Assist in the development of annual sales forecasts for budgeting purposes.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with approximately 30% travel to Springfield, Ohio, and customer sites as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of sales experience required, with a preference for experience in metal stamping, welding, and assembly.
Skills and Competencies:
