Position Highlights:

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures/services including, but not limited to thyroid biopsies and sonohystograms
- Receive patients and provide appropriate care. This may include scheduling, reception of the patients, administrative work pertaining to ultrasound and accomplishing procedural instructions
- Observe and report to the Radiologist any symptoms which have direct bearing on the patient's condition and inform Radiologist of any condition requiring his/her attention
- Adhere to ultrasound safety policies and procedures in accordance with Ultrasound Department policies and procedures.
- Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment on a regular basis in accordance with Radiology Department standards. Process digital images, prepare tech worksheets with technical impression and submit for interpretation by radiologists.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate from an Academic Program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Sonography
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers(ARDMS) OR current Sonography through the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists(ARRT) in Abdominal and/or Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Must have 3 years of full time experience as a Diagnostic Sonographer within the last 4 years
- BLS Certification
