Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Dates: ASAP-End of School Year
Requirements:
- Valid PA Special Education Teaching Credential
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education
Compensation:
Position Details:
- Full-time- 37.5 hours/week
- Caseload: 3rd-12th grade, small class size
- Paraprofessional support in classroom
- Responsible for conducting IEP and evaluation meetings
- Ensure compliance with all due process requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized IEPs to address the needs of students
- Provide both push-in and pull-out services in core subjects
- Tailor instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles
- Monitor student progress and modify teaching approaches as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Experience working with various age groups with special education services
- Expertise in IEPs, accommodations, and behavior management
- Strong passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Ability to work well with other teachers and professionals
