Certifications:
- BLS
- PharmD or RPh
- BCPS (Preferred)
- Chemo/Hazardous Drug Certification (Preferred)
- IV Certification (Preferred)
Must-Have:
- Compounding Pharmacy experience
- Inpatient/Acute care experience
- Experience with Anticoagulants
- Clinical dosing skills
- Pharmacokinetic dosing skills
- Renal dosing skills
- Expertise in Compounding, IV Piggyback, and IV push Medications
- Proficiency in Sterile Technique
- Familiarity with Pyxis
Job Description:
- Operate within the IV room preparing medications for inpatient care.
- Use advanced knowledge of pharmacokinetics for accurate dosing.
- Ensure safe compounding of medications, including hazardous drugs.
- Manage pain controlled analgesia and perform clinical dosing.
- Apply sterile techniques during medication preparation.
- Engage with clinical systems like Cad Cassette and Pyxis.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Meet all compliance and certification requirements for medication handling.
