Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Yelm, WA. This full-time, onsite position will involve working with K-12 students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and a passion for helping students of all ages improve their communication skills, which are vital to their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student development and progress.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and assistive technologies as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate records of student progress in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Washington state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA certification (or eligibility).
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school staff.
