Position Highlights
- Independently competent in performing all standard diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures including but not limited to diagnostic coronary angiography (natives and grafts) balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, all types of atherectomy, ventriculography, aortography, right heart catheterization, pericardiocentesis
- On-call shared among the group. 1:2 STEMI call on weeknights
- Interpret transthoracic, echocardiograms
- Read EKG’s, treadmill exercise studies, and on rare occasion Holter and Event monitor studies
- Basis understanding of, and trouble shooting skills with pacemaker/ICD interrogation, interpretation, and programming
- Works as part of an integrated team within the department of Cardiology
Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or ECFMG certification
- BC in Cardiology and BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology
- Fellowship trained in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology
- Minimum 2 years interventional cardiology experience
- Minimum 2 year procedure log required for submission with application
- At start date: current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Hawaii
