Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Officer serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures. Responsibilities:- Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and its adjacent tissues and structures.
- Diagnose and manage pathological or irregular oral conditions. Assess medical history and apply knowledge to the management of patients
- Administer local and regional anesthesia, anxiolysis and oral sedation, as required by the clinical setting.
- Work-up and performance of surgical procedures of patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions.
- Perform dentoalveolar surgical procedures, dental implant surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, closed reduction of facial fractures, management of infections, minor bone grafting, biopsy procedures, and management of temporomandibular joint disorders, as required by the clinical setting.
Work Schedule: Clinic hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm
This is a part-time position, two days per week.
