New School Year - Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Opening

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract role in a school-based setting in Sandy, OR for the upcoming school year. This is a great opportunity for professionals who meet local and state regulatory requirements and have a passion for supporting students with special needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to evaluate students' occupational therapy needs, including sensory, motor, and functional skills.
Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and other essential skills needed for academic and daily living success.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students.
Monitor student progress and modify therapy plans as necessary to ensure therapy goals are being met.
Assist students in developing their daily living skills and enhancing their independence both in the classroom and at home.
Train school staff and parents on effective strategies to support students' therapy goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
Participate in IEP meetings and work with other professionals to review and update students’ progress and ensure continued support.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Oregon.
Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of IEP development and the special education process.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a school environment.
