Responsibilities: Appraise and diagnose speech, language and hearing disorders of students who have been referred. Participate in Multi-disciplinary Team meetings and evaluations. Prescribe and implement speech, language and hearing therapy as written on the IEP. Conduct ongoing evaluation to determine prognosis and recommendation. Instruct and implement programs using paraprofessionals Participate in appropriate in-service and career development activities. Manage behavior of students and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning. Keep adequate records of student progress and communicate to parents/guardian quarterly. Monitor SLP assistant therapy of students and verify speech logs of students assigned to caseload.
