A healthcare companyin Californiais looking to add a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of their growing facilities on a Part-time basis. In this role, theSpeech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for playing an important part in helping patient to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
About the Opportunity:
- State Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (20 hours a week)
- Patient Volume: 6 to 7 (30 min sessions)
- EMR:PinPoint and UDS
Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)will:
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members
- Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
- Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
- Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ months ofSpeech Language Pathology experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology school
- CA Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)license
- CPR certification
- Experience working with theAdult and Geriatric population
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
