Job Summary: The Speech Pathologist diagnoses and treats individuals with Communication Disorders within the scope of practice as defined by the State Department of New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. Essential Generic Job Functions (List in order of importance): 1. Performs all functions associated with the evaluation of patients for all age groups within the departments responsibility. 2. Performs all functions associated with the execution of therapeutic treatment for all age groups within the departments responsibility. 3. Completes all documentation required within the specified timeline according to department. 4. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs ((Click Apply Now to apply to this job)., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.) This process includes communicating with the patient, parent and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). 5. Works cooperatively within an interdisciplinary treatment team of medical sub-specialists and allied health professionals. 6. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 7. Lifts a minimum of 10 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 3 hours a day. 8.
