We are seeking Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to work for a homecare organization in Philadelphia, PA. Both travel and local therapists are encouraged to apply! We offer sponsorship opportunities.
The Speech Language Pathologists will be treating pediatric patients with autism and developmental delays. This is a fee for service opportunity.
Responsibilities included but not limited to are:
-Obtains physician verbal orders for services and prepares interim order forms accordingly for MD signature as needed
-Submits reports of patient status for insurance authorization in a timely manner
-Treats patients through the use of therapeutic activities, under the direction of the physician and the physician order and within the Speech Language Pathology Scope of Practice, to develop and restore speech function and oral motor function and attain and maintain maximum performance, within the functional limitations of the patient and in accordance with the plan of care
-Observes, documents and reports the patient's responses to treatment and any change in the patient's condition to the physician, and/or the coordinator of care, as appropriate
