Founded in 1887, the San Diego Center for Children is the oldest childrens 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the region accredited by The Joint Commission for its excellence in quality of care. The Center provides evidence-based therapeutic, educational, foster care, and transition-age services to children and families struggling with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. NCA was created to meet the unique academic and therapeutic needs of students with behavioral health challenges that affect their academic success.As the only program in the area equipped to provide this level of academic and therapeutic support, the environment is a unique blend of counseling, skill-building, and education. As a school-based therapist, you will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of school administrators, teachers, behavior aides, and local school districts.
