Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health issues and be skilled in providing support to individuals virtually and in an office setting. This role requires a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients, utilizing therapeutic techniques to promote their well-being.

Duties

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' emotional and psychological needs.
Utilize a variety of techniques to encourage clients in their personal growth and development.
Assess client needs through interviews, observations, and clinical assessments.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and tailor them to the needs of a diverse client population.
Document and maintain accurate records in our EHR in compliance with ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and practice timelines.
Participate in training sessions to enhance professional skills and meet CEU requirements.
Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in psychotherapy and social work.

Requirements

Master's degree in counseling or mental health from an accredited program.
Current Virginia LPC License. (Will accept LSATP or CSAC if also a registered LPC resident)
Commit to a minimum of 12 clinical hours per week.
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of counseling.
