Job Opportunity: Inpatient Pharmacist
Location: Bloomfield, NJ
Setting: Inpatient Pharmacy (120-bed facility)
Duration: 13 weeks
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist for an exciting opportunity at an inpatient pharmacy in Bloomfield, NJ. This 120-bed facility is looking for a motivated pharmacist to join their team for a 13-week assignment. Position Details:
- Start Date: Within the next few weeks
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8-hour shifts (Mon-Fri)
- System: EPIC (Electronic Medical Records)
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Verification: Ensure medication orders are accurate and appropriate for patient care
- Supervising Technicians: Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy
- Pharmacokinetics: Monitor drug levels and adjust therapies as needed for optimal patient outcomes
- Consulting with Nurses/Physicians: Provide expert advice on medication management, therapeutic interventions, and drug-related concerns
- Additional Duties: Assist with other pharmacy services as needed, contributing to a positive and efficient healthcare environment
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state of New Jersey (NJ)
- Experience: Previous inpatient pharmacy experience is preferred
- Ability to work with EPIC and adapt quickly to hospital systems
