Job Title: Production / Order Entry Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Fort Lee, NJ, within a fast-paced environment. This position offers two distinct roles: Order Entry and Production. Candidates should have experience handling high-volume pharmacy operations, with preference given to those with prior Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Entry Technician:
- Accurately process and enter medication orders in a high-volume setting.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while entering large quantities of orders efficiently.
- Ensure all prescription orders are properly verified and dispensed in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients to ensure optimal medication outcomes.
- Prioritize orders in accordance with urgency, ensuring all prescriptions are processed promptly.
Production Technician:
- Assist in the production and preparation of medications in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring quality standards and accuracy.
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure a smooth workflow and meet production targets.
- Keep pace in a fast-moving environment while adhering to all safety and regulatory protocols.
- Perform additional duties as needed in the production area, including packaging, labeling, and checking medications.
Qualifications:
- Order Entry Technician: Experience in high-volume order entry is required. LTC experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Production Technician: Must have experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior LTC experience is preferred but not required.
- Active NJ Pharmacy Technician License in good standing is required for this role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Contract to Hire Opportunity:
This position is initially a 13-week contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
