Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Monterey, CA. This full-time, onsite position will involve working with PreK and elementary school students, supporting their speech and language development under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students improve their communication skills in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of speech and language therapy to PreK and elementary school students.
- Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Assist with classroom activities designed to improve speech and language skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Current California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a school setting, preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of speech and language development in children.
