Here at New Edge Orthopedics, LLC we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technician to join our healthcare team. We are a growing multi-disciplinary Orthopedic Surgery practice and are located in the heart of downtown Jersey City, The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various imaging techniques. The X-ray Technician will work closely with the orthopedic surgeon and clinical team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-Ray and other diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations, ensuring correct anatomical alignment.
- Operate imaging equipment with proficiency and adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist in the maintenance and quality control of radiologic equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
Skills
- Proficient in X-Ray techniques and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge essential for accurate imaging.
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology practices, including CT and sonography techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a clinical environment.
