Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:45 - 17:15)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR tech experience; strong liver transplant experience required
License: National Certification required, NBSTSA/NCCT recommended
Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have:
- Strong liver transplant experience reflected on skills checklist
- Experience with heart, lung, and kidney transplants
Job Description:
- Work with liver call and handle various cases if no transplant is scheduled
- Experience putting organs back into the new patient, not just harvesting
- Open to first-time travelers
- Will float within the scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
- Must be nicotine-free, as the facility is smoke-free
- Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized once confirmed for an assignment
- EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with study materials provided
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
Additional Notes:
- The facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 230 total staffed beds
- Charting is done using EPIC
- Scrub color is Ceil Blue
- Orientation period includes 16 non-billable hours
