Roles and Responsibilities of an ACS Certified Behavior Lead
The CBL will manage one location with up to 4 residents and supervise up to 4 DSPs.
1. Creating, communicating, and implementing the organization’s vision,
mission, and overall direction – i.e. leading the development and
implementation of the overall ACS’s strategy.
2. Delegates and assign duties to DSPs and observes performance to ensure
adherence to group home’s policies and established operating procedures.
3. Responsible for conducting in – house training to new DSPs in the group
home on a regular basis.
4. Acts as the group home public relations director and promotes the property
within ACS’s organization, local community and trade associations.
5. Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting,
training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining DSP’s and communicating
values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning,
monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a
climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational
opportunities.
6. Receives and resolved or assists the management in resolving residence
complaints and service recovery process.
7. Responsible for reviewing employee performance and conducts personnel
actions such as disciplinary actions.
8. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance
requirements; calling for repairs.
9. Adheres to company procedures and regulations as well as standard
operating procedures.
10. Responsible for enforcing full compliance to group home operating controls,
SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
11. Ensures the objectives and goals of the group and property owners work
together to achieve brand positioning and success.
12. Take responsibility and build owner loyalty through proactive communication,
setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.
13. Work with and assist the Management / Owner in key property issues
including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
14. Responsible for performing daily, weekly and monthly property inspections
and auditing paperwork daily, weekly and monthly to make sure regulations
are maintained.
15. Ensures property, grounds, physical plant and work areas maintained to
standard.
16. Builds strong working relationships and communications with Group Home
staff, individuals and other departments to ensure maximum operating
effectiveness and fulfillment of special event need.
17. Cover shifts at the home when coverage is not available.
18. Responsible for Monitoring maintenance progress and FF&E (Furniture,
Furnishings, and Equipment) conditions and provide status report to GM.
19. Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required Group Home
supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need.
20. Performs sudden audits on rooms and other operating areas.
21. Responsible for Providing effective leadership to Group Home team
members.
22. Ensure Group Home staff is in proper attire and adhere to appearance
standards per handbook.
23. Ensures effective, timely and accurate communications flow with regards to
Group Home policies and procedures.
24. Work and Assist the Owner in in all aspects of business planning.
25. Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any individual or employee
emergencies.
26. Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
27. Show capacity to perform other duties as assigned by the management.
28. Part of the disciplinary committee that sits on any case that involves
employees under his / her supervision.
29. Play a part as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team
members with appropriate skills.
30. Identifies the developmental needs of group home staff and provide coaching,
mentoring to improve their knowledge or skills as required.
Must be certified QMHP-A/QPPMH-A/RBH
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $81.26 per hour
