Our business partner hospitals include a Level II Trauma Center, Community and Critical Access hospitals, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Maine Coast Memorial Hospital is one of these locations, and offers a collaborative, supportive practice setting in a 4 OR Facility with Labor and Delivery, Orthopedics, GYN, Urology, Endo, ENT, and General Surgery Cases. Academic Qualifications: 1.BSN from an approved school of nursing 2.Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs 3.Masters in Nurse Anesthesia (preferred) 4.AANA Certification and/or Board Eligible (you have six months to successfully complete boards from the date of hire)
Work Experiences and Skills:
- Experience:
- Commitment to continuous improvement in self, others, and process
- Completion of an intense "on the job" training program
- Experience with central lines, spinals and labor epidurals is a requirement
- Experience with healthy peds is preferred
- Experience with ultrasound guided blocks is preferred but can train on the job
Training:
- ACLS required
- BLS required
- PALS required
- NALS recommended
Licensure:
- Current State of Maine RN license
- Advanced Practice License (ME)
- Compliance with criteria for biennial recertification as a CRNAs as defined by the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
