Are you an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) looking for an exciting leadership opportunity in a growing Long-Term Care (LTC) setting? Soliant Health is ready to bring someone on for a direct hire/permanent role where you’ll play a key part in building and managing a thriving pharmacy team.
About the Role:
As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures. You’ll manage the team while maintaining a strong presence on the floor, not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed to ensure everything runs smoothly. The role also involves administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee adherence to pharmacy procedures, SOPs, and regulations at all levels.
- Ensure proper medication dispensing, labeling, and storage.
- Provide recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and healthcare staff.
- Maintain patient records including medical history, lab data, and clinical information.
- Handle medication-related queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise the preparation of medications, including controlled substances.
- Ensure all medications are dispensed and stored according to legal and safety standards.
- Perform on-call duties when required.
Schedule:
- Shifts: Day Shifts - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
What We’re Looking For:
- Must have 5+ years of LTC experience, with prior leadership experience in an LTC setting.
- Texas Pharmacist License required.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate the team to meet productivity goals.
- Good communication skills to foster a strong team environment.
- Ability to oversee all aspects of operations and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ability to manage HR-related issues and collaborate with external HR support when necessary.
