ProCare Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive primary school in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. This part-time position is a great opportunity for an SLPA looking to make an impact on young learners in a collaborative school setting.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: May 9
- Schedule: Monday, Thursday, Friday (3 days/week)
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
- Total Weekly Hours: 21
- Location: One primary school
- Age Group: Preschool (3 years old) through 5th grade
- Caseload: Approximately 30 students with mixed disabilities
Responsibilities:
- Support the lead Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy plans
- Work with students individually or in small groups to improve communication skills
- Assist with documentation and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to enhance student success
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Valid Louisiana SLPA license
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
