Blazer Jobs is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Waltham Elementary School in Waltham, Massachusetts. This full-time role involves working closely with young learners to support and enhance their communication abilities during critical developmental years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students.
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans that cater to each child's specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide direct therapy sessions, including both individual and small group interventions.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and student progress.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in setting achievable goals.
- Keep abreast of the latest research and methodologies in speech-language pathology to apply best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Massachusetts state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- At least one year of experience in the field, with a preference for those who have worked in pediatric or school settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and professionals.
