We are looking for aCertified Radiologic Therapeutic Technologistin Washington D.C. who excels in communication, critical thinking, and teamwork. Responsibilities include patient care, collaboration with medical staff, and accurate record-keeping.
Job Requirements:
- One (1) year of experience– Knowledge of overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment. Experience with Varian linear accelerators is preferred.
- One (1) year of experience– Delivery of prescribed therapeutic radiation for the purposes of cancer and abnormal cell growth treatments.
- One (1) year of experience– In 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
- Adherence to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)regulations involved in handling and treating patients with ionizing radiation, and radiation safety guidelines.
- AART in Radiation Therapy
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
