Job Summary and Qualifications
The Medical Lab Technician performs test, inputs patient information and test results into computer, performs computer functions as needed and assist in other duties as directed by laboratory supervisor/manager. The Medical Lab Technician is proficient in one or more of the following disciplines as determined by departmental needs: Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Immunohematology (Blood Bank).
What qualifications you will need
Must possess MLT or equivalent certification, or be currently eligible to sit for MLT or equivalent certification exam. Certification as MLT (ASCP) or equivalent is required within 180 days of hire. Education: | - Associates Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Science
Experience: | - Prefer one year of experience in one of the Laboratory Sciences.
